2 DAYS IN QUITO is the debut feature film by writer/director Jamaal Hepher starring Aldo D’Amore Riquetti.

 

The thriller follows 28 year old Tono, a taxi driver desperate to escape his seemingly unfulfilling life and reconnect with his fractured family. In a bid to come up with the money for a life changing career course, he finds himself the culprit of bloodshed in an unplanned robbery.

 

2 DAYS IN QUITO is a story about how desperation can drive someone to darkness.

In 2018 writer/director Jamaal Hepher was living in Quito, Ecuador when he realised that it would be the ideal place to write and direct his debut feature. Hailing from London with Sierra Leonean heritage, he saw this as a wonderful opportunity to create a story spoken in Spanish and set in Latin America with influences from halfway across the world.

 

Jamaal self-financed the production alongside a small crowdfunding campaign. He hired a crew made of members of the talented and local Ecuadorian film industry, starting with lead producer Ana Gabriela Yepez. Upon returning to London, Jamaal completed work on the edit and assembled a post production team to finish the film.

The film is currently being submitted to film festivals, with the intention of doing a global run. Following a festival run, the film will have a theatrical release in Ecuador and we plan to secure distribution in the UK and worldwide.
